2. Faster.
- Continue on the M74 until junction 12.
- Take the A70 through Douglas, Muirkirk, Cumnock and into Ayr.
- At the roundabout on the A77, go straight across, onto Holmston Road.

- On leaving the airport turn right for A77 Glasgow (not Ayr).
- Then follow signs for Ayr (a few roundabouts).

More Information |
Area Information : Ayr is a superb base for touring the south-west of Scotland. The top National Trust attraction is Culzean Castle, only 20 km from Ayr.
Robert Burns was born in Ayr and an excellent visitor centre is a must.
There are many great golf courses in and around the town, with Open Championship venues of Royal Troon and Turnberry only a short drive away. Glasgow is less than one hour by train.
