More Information |
Area Information : The old market town has a good deal to offer, a wealth of half timbered Tudor buildings, magnificent Georgian houses, a splendid river, beautiful gardens and narrow winding streets. There is lots to see in Shrewsbury including several museums, the castle and famous Abbey. Organised daily tours (in summer) are available with official guides to explain the history of the town.
Shopping in Shrewsbury is well served. As well as most of the big multiples there are antiques and secondhand bookshops, boutiques, a craft market and Victorian Arcade; most of them in narrow side streets and passageways. We also have one of the best wine merchants in the country.
