Area Information : During your stay you can explore the wonderful New Forest, which consists of a mixture of native deciduous and coniferous woodland, heaths, bogs, streams and estuaries. Ponies, cattle and pigs are allowed to roam freely. The natural and most exciting way to see the New Forest is on horseback. There are a number of local stables, and riding can be arranged for all standards.
Nearby Lymington is a bustling, colourful town with lots to see and do. Its Georgian High Street is the venue for a well-known street-market every Saturday morning. The towns many features include a unique series of cobbled streets leading down to the pretty main quay area, popular with visitors who wish to sit, relax and watch the world sail by.
Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight is reached by ferry in only 35 minutes, and caters for both foot passengers and cars.
Beaulieu Palace House and The National Motor Museum are also within easy reach.
There are several golf clubs situated nearby.
