More Information |
Area Information : Fira offers a variety to those interested in Santorini’s culture. You should take the opportunity to visit the town’s archaeological museum, which hosts a number of Minoan artefacts from excavations. The Megaron Gyzi Museum is also very interesting, as it shows a fascinating collection of photos before and after Fira was hit by the 1956 earthquake. There are also a large variety of cathedrals and monasteries that you can conveniently visit in the town.
Fira also has a port where you can take a cruise ship for a tour of the Nea and Palia Kameni volcanoes.
