Area Information : We are situated between the Pirin and Rila national parks, from which we took our name. The alpine parks offer an abundance of interesting flora and wildlife.
The entrance to the Rila national park is nearby and has marked trails, easy to follow. The Pirin national park can be entered on foot or you can take the chair lift directly into the mountains from nearby Bezbog, which runs both in winter and summer.
There are a large number of interesting historical sites to visit, such as monasteries and churches along with mineral spa baths, a brown bear sanctuary and a mountain railway. Visit traditional old towns and don''t miss the bustling centre of Blagoevgrad with its cafes and shops.
