Aviemore Skiing and Snowboarding (14 miles / 22.5 km) - the village is renowned as being a top Scottish location for winter sports. A funicular railway can transport up to 1,200 people per hour to Cairngorm Mountain in the winter.
The Cairngorm Reindeer Centre (20 miles / 32 km) - the Cairngorm herd is Britain''s only herd of Reindeer, with around 130 roaming between the Cairngorm Mountains and the Glenlivet Estate. Guided trips leave up to twice a day from the centre to take visitors to these very tame and friendly animals.
