By Car:
From Ludlow town centre:
- Take the A49 Hereford Road over Ludford Bridge and the hotel can be found on the right.
- Be sure to not turn off before the village of Overton.
From the South:
- On the A49, (towards Hereford/Shrewsbury) turn left onto the B4361, just north of Woofferton.
- The road is sign posted for Ludlow and Richards Castle.
- The hotel is a short distance on the left.

About 10 miles away, you will find ''Little Switzerland''; with the sound of redstarts, buzzards and skylarks for walkers, cyclists and riders to enjoy. The hills of South Shropshire are one of the few remaining rural idylls and a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The vast Mortimer Forest folds around Ludlow, covering much of the surrounding area.
Ludlow Castle (2 miles / 3.2 km): Perched above the River Teme this is a regular setting for events, markets, craft and food fairs, Shakespearean plays and concerts; the expansive ruins of this impressive medieval castle offer a glimpse into the life of medieval society.
Ludlow Racecourse (6.5 miles / 10.5 km): It is said that 14th century soldiers raced their horses at this modern day National Hunt course. Surrounded by countryside, Edwardian character is mixed with recently completed luxurious hospitality boxes.
