Maps & Directions |
|
Glasgow is a city well served by transport networks, and the hotel is ideally situated to take advantage of this. Whether you want to travel into the centre of town or take a trip to the West End of the city, the system of trains, buses and the world famous Clockwork Orange subway system will ensure that your journey is an easy one.
Trains
Crosshill Station, a two-minute walk from the hotel, travels directly into Central Station in the heart of the city centre. From here you can explore the city on foot or take a connecting train to the Ayrshire coast and some of the most spectacular countryside that Scotland has to offer.
A five-minute walk from Central Station is Queen Street station, which connects Glasgow with the east coast of Scotland and other major towns and cities including Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh.
Buses
The hotel is ideally located for a number of buses which travel into the centre of town and beyond. Ask staff for more details about bus timetables and destinations.
Subway
Originally opened on 14 December 1896, the Glasgow subway is a loop system which connects the burghs of Govan, Partick and Kinning Park with Glasgow City Centre and the West End. A popular means of transport for Glaswegians, the subway is a great way to see the city if you’re short of time.
The Discovery ticket allows unlimited travel and you’ll be given a leaflet containing a full colour map of the Subway route, including a map which shows the locations of over 70 visitor attractions, to help you plan your day.
The closest station to the hotel is Bridge Street, or you can travel into the city and take the subway from St Enoch or Buchanan Street stations. | | | |
