By Car:
- By the Skye Bridge, take the A87 to Broadford.
- Turn left to Armadale, Sleat (A851) on approach to Broadford
- Continue towards Armadale for approximnately10 miles.
- The hotel is less than one mile from the Tarskavaig junction on the main A851, on the left-hand side.
By Air:
Inverness: 80 miles
Glasgow: 210 miles
From either airport, drive up to Skye, getting on the A87 at Invergarry. (Drive up at Spean Bridge (from Glasgow), or drive down when you are in Inverness, following Drumnadrochit and and Invermoriston).
By Train:
The nearest railway station is Kyle of Lochalsh. There is a bus from Kyle to Broadford, then you will need to take a taxi.
By Ferry (from Mallaig to Armadale):
The summer ferry runs 6 or 7 times a day (including Sundays although this service is not as frequent) between Mallaig and Armadale on the Isle of Skye. The winter service is limited to 2 journeys a day (Monday to Friday only). Journey time is 25 minutes. Vehicle reservation required. Bikes are carried free of charge. | | | |

Area Information : Toravaig House is located in the south of the Isle of Skye and there are plenty of wonderful long and short walks in the area, as well as a range of water sports. Local activities include the Clan Donald Centre with its beautiful gardens and the Clan Museum. Anne and Ken and their staff are more than happy to help you plan your day.
During your stay, you can explore the Isle of Skye and take a trip to the north of the Island. See Portree, which is the capital, a lovely fishing town, Staffin, the Old Man of Storr, the Quiriang or visit the castle and gardens of the Clan Macleod in Dunvegan. You could also visit Neist Point, the Point of Sleat, the Fairy Glen or the Talisker Distillery and Visitor Centre, where the famous Scotch whisky is made.

Hotel Information : Let an exclusive sailing trip on Solus na Mara, the hotel’s private yacht, be the highlight of your stay. From April to September, the hotel offers daily sailing trips, which take you either to the Outer Isles or into one of the sea lochs on the mainland. Sailings are weather dependant and the maximum number of guests is limited to 6, so booking is advisable.
