- Go through 3 roundabouts.
- At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the A472.
- At the Crown roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the A4049.
- Go through one roundabout.
- Turn right onto Bryn Road.
- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit, continuing straight on, on Bryn Road.
- Turn right onto Gordon Road, where Monnington Lodge is located.
By Car (from Pontypool roundabout)
- From the Pontypool roundabout, head south-west towards the A472.
- Turn left onto the A467.
- At the Celynen roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A472.
- At the Pentwynmawr roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the B4251
- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit.
- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A4048.
- Turn right at the B4254 - High Street

The region is rich on stunning natural beauty, with the awe-inspiring Brecon Beacons and the tranquillity of Cwmcarn Forest within easy reach. The area is also rich in places of historical interest, such as Caerphilly Castle.
Cardiff city centre is just half an hour away by road and Bristol is only 40 minutes away.
