More Information |
Area Information : Quinta de Valverde is located in Viana do Castelo, at the mouth of the Rio Lima. In the 16th century its port gained great importance as the one of the main ports from which Portuguese explorers set sail during the “age of discoveries”. The most remarkable buildings in the town are from this era, while its traditional folklore is among the richest in the country.
The Santa Luzia hill offers a great view over the historical centre of the town, the port, the Lima River and the ocean.
