More Information |
Area Information : The hotel has a superb location from which to explore the spectacular natural beauty of Snowdonia National Park and all of Mid Wales.
While fishing has proved to be one of Tal-y-Llyn’s major attractions, the unspoilt countryside also provides excellent opportunities for both the serious or casual walker, and ornithologists and photographers alike.
The nearby Tal-y-Llyn Railway offers excursions on the only narrow-gauge line in the world with over a century of unbroken passenger service.
The region is steeped in history, with an abundance of charming villages, sweeping bays and beaches, majestic mountains and castles, gardens and houses open to the public, museums and visitor centres.
The area also offers pony trekking, windsurfing, sailing and water skiing. For the keen golfers, there are the two of the longest courses in Wales. The Royal St David''s, overlooked by the magnificent Harlech Castle, is just 8 yards longer than the links at Aberdyfi.
