Area Information : Tihany is one of the oldest villages in Hungary, built on the peninsula on the northern side of Lake Balaton, which is famous for its Benedictine Abbey.
In Tihany visitors can enjoy a variety of Hungarian restaurants, just a short walk away, while a few minutes'' drive will take you to The Club Tihany with its excellent spa which includes massage and beauty services. It also has a fine restaurant. There is a popular sailing club here, and just round the corner there is Café Tihany, a superb Italian restaurant overlooking the Lake.
