By car From Naples follow the Salerno A3 motorway signs, avoiding Naples city centre. Reach the toll gate and proceed straight ahead. Take the Castellammare di Stabia exit and follow signs to Sorrento, once in Piano di Sorrento turn left following the signs to Positano. By train From Naples central railway station, take the local Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento. From there, you can either take a taxi or a bus leading to Positano and Amalfi. By airplane From Naples Capodichino airport, you can take a private taxi to Positano or the Curreri bus leading to Sorrento and then continue by taxi. By boat Hydrofoils reach Positano only in the summertime. They are available from Naples, Sorrento, Capri, Amalfi and Salerno.
