Taxi A taxi from Barajas Internacional Airport usually takes about 20 minutes to arrive and can cost between 25-30 € depending on the traffic. Although the majority of taxis are honest professionals please be warned that sometimes you may be charged a extremely high price or may be taken to places that pay the driver a comission. We recommend that you ask for an official recipt, note their operating license number and you can refuse payment in some cases. This is not the norm but it is better to be forewarned. Subway Madrid has an excellent subway (metro) system that you can take right from the airport. If you do not have a lot of luggage it is easy and inexpensive use and will take you less that 30 minutes to arrive at the Hostal. Follow the signs to the metro in the airport, purchase a one use ticket: 1 € or a 10 use ticket: 6.15 € , from the machines or the ticket window. Take line #8 to the station Nuevos Ministerios and transfer to line #10 in the direction of Metro Sur. Get off at the Tribunal stop an the hostal is located just 50m from any of the 3 exits. From the train stations: All of the train stations have subway (metro) stations connected. You just need to travel to the Tribunal Stop on lines #1 or #10. A single use ticket is 1 €. By car: If you are arriving by car, the hostal has 2 parking spaces nearby. One is in the Plaza de Barceló on the side of the subway stop an the other is on the corner of Glorieta de Bilbao and Fuencarral St. Both are located just 50m from the Hostal.
