Getting to the hotel:
From Santander: take the motorway towards Torrelavega and turn off at the exit for "Requejada". From here continue in the direction of Barreda, where you need to bear right and take the CA-132 Road towards Suances.
From Asturias: You can get to Torrelavega by either the N-634 Road or the motorway "Autovía del Cantábrico". From there you should head towards Barreda in order to take the CA-132 Road to Suances.
Coming from Madrid-Bilbao-Palencia-Valladolid: the easiest way would be to get to Torrelavega and from there approach Suances via Barreda.
From Comillas: You can take the C-6316 road in the direction of Santillana del Mar for about 16km where you will cross the town Oreña, once you have passed Oreña but before you get to Santillana del Mar, turn on to the CA-351Road on your left, towards Suances.

Area Information : The surrounding villages Cortiguera, Hinojedo, Ongayo, Puente-Avios and Tagle all make up the district of Suances, a costal enclave of outstanding beauty. Situated in the western part of Cantabria just 30km from Santander. An area that seduces you with its verdant countryside bathed by the Cantabrian Sea, as well as the abundance of activities to do.
As well as its rich countryside, the area also boasts many examples of heritage, such as the Casa-Palacio de Fernando Velarde en Hinojedo and Casa de los Polanco en Suances that date back to the 17th century.
The are also many examples of religious art in the region such as the churches Santa María de las Lindes, San Pedro, la Ermita de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe en Tagle or Santiago en Ongayo.
You can also visit the remains of the Fort El Torco, built in the 12th century to defend the area.
