Exmouth is a port town and seaside resort in Devon, England, at the east side of the mouth of the River Exe. It is a perfect base from which to explore Devon’s beautiful coastline and interesting inland towns and villages. Here stretches the longest seafront in Devon and Cornwall, 2 miles of golden sands and rock pools, making it ideal for family holidays. The estuary of the Ex is well known for its abundance of wildlife. There are wonderful views of the river along the Avocet train line, taking its name from the rare bird which winters on the Ex estuary and is a prize among birdwatchers.
