The Domus Pacis (House of Peace) is also the head quarters of the International Center of the World Apostolate of Fátima, a public international association of the faithful that has been approved by the Holy See and is popularly referred to as the Blue Army. There are 2 catholic chapels where you can go to mass; the Latin Chapel which holds services of the western rite, and the Byzantine Chapel which holds services of the eastern rite. The Byzantine Chapel is a sight in itself, as it has a beautiful onion-shaped dome and a replica of the Icon of Kazan, a holy image venerated in Russia. While staying at the Domus Pacis Blue Army, you can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner with other pilgrims in the restaurant or enjoy a refreshing drink and a chat at the Domus Pacis' bar and coffee shop. There is also a multilingual library and a shop selling gifts, rosaries and and other devotional aids so as to always remember your trip. There is also a PC with internet access in the lobby and wireless internet access as well as state-of-the-art conference facilities. |
