Amlwch is the most northerly town in Wales. It is in the north east of the Isle of Anglesey, just off the north Wales coast. According to legend the town developed a harbour but was not visible from the sea which helped them from getting attacked from Vikings. Amlwch has one of the biggest copper mines nearby Parys Mountains.One of the attractions in Amlwch is restored port, the Anglesey Costal Path which passes through it, its watch house containing a small Heritage centre, and the reinforced concrete church Our Lady of the Sea.
