Tintern is a village on the west bank of the River Wye in Monmouthshire, Wales, close to the border with England. About 5 miles towards north of Chepstow.The modern settlement of Tntern has been formed through combining the two historica places together forming the northern end of the village, and Chapel Hill, which forms the southern end. The village is designated as a Conservation Area.Situated just outside of Lyndney is the Dean Forest Railway, which is a full-sized steam railway with head-quaters. Art and local history exhibitions take place throughout the year and art and craft workshops occur from March to June. Puzzlw Woods which is situated towards south of Coleford. The romans used to extraced iron in these woods and they have left a miniature canyolands behind them. The place is a bit like a maze though it is not difficult to find your way. The walk around takes just an hour at very easy pace.
